Stuck in time...

I still remember the day when I saw on the news Jim Henson passed away. Probably still in primary school. But back then with little/no internet - just books from library I still managed to find out about the man who gave life to the little green puppet. Not only life - but character and depth.

I stood in front on the TV and cried. And cried everytime I see the news or show about it. And cried when Disney officially bought over Muppets back then.

Now I still so emo reading stuff about Jim Henson online. Muppets wasnt created during my era. Nor was sesame street and the Muppets Show new when I was watching it during my childhood times (in fact they were all reruns). Jim Henson really showed how a passion can turn into something so unimaginable. And finding a niche in a place where he had no experience in but dare to try.

Dont you think that we sometimes limit our potential of that we work in areas we think we can excel because of our academic training?

Maybe thats why I still like toys and stuff so much. Its really more than just toys. Its a dream... Jim Henson revolutionized how people thought of puppets. And even more with his attitude towards people and work.

I miss those old school Muppets/Sesame Street shows...
